How can you earn money by giving eBooks away for FREE?
You may have noticed that people give away eBooks for free, and you wonder, if they give it out for free, how can they make money? Well, a certain portion give them out of heart, but a large portion do a few simple marketing tricks.
I would like to introduce keen marketers to Paid To Click sites. Paid To Click (PTC) is an online business used to bring traffic to a site in exchange for earnings from home or any computer. PTC sites act as a link between advertisers and the consumer, or the clicker. What advertisers do is they pay for placing ads on PTC sites and a certain portion goes to the consumer when they view and/or click the advertisement. This business is one of very few ways to easily earn money.
For example, one of the well know Paid To Click sites is called NeoBux. Basically, they give you money for referring traffic to them, by clicking advertisements and by selling ads.
So what has this got to do with eBooks? Well, you may have noticed that the above link is a referral link (yes, I am telling you). Well, in eBooks, creators place in relevant referral or affiliate links to gain money. When people click, download, sign up via that link, both parties will tend to earn rewards, or cash.
Giving out “FREE” eBooks tend to gain the attention of many people. Giving that eBook our to 1,000 people, then those 1,000 people sending it out to another 1,000 means that potentially, 1 million people will click your links. Just gaining $0.02 per click means you could potentially gain $20,000. And this is just through one eBook.
You will have to ensure you target the right audience and the right amount of people. Posting the link onto forums and blogs, of the right niche can help you. Be sure not to appear like you are advertising, but people tend to see the need to download that eBook if you target the right niche.

From my experience, places like DigitalPoint, with a lot of members, and a place for “freebies”, you can really attract quite a lot of people. Though, ensure you have catchy titles such as “FREE” or “MONEY” as that is what captures people’s attention, thus downloading them.
You can really use any free or paid file host. MegaUpload works, though if you want to monitor downloads yourself, you could set up some sort of PHP script to help you.
